BAY AREA • Ally Action works to make schools in the San Francisco Bay Area safer for and more inclusive of LGBTQ people. • Dimensions Clinic provides physical and mental health care for LGBTQIQ young people in the Bay Area; free LGBTQIQ youth health clinic Thursdays 5-8PM • GroundSpark (formerly Women’s Educational Media) creates visionary films and dynamic educational campaigns that move individuals and communities to take action for a more just world. • LGBTQ Youth Space is located in downtown San Jose at 938 The Alameda, San Jose, CA 95126. We provide a safe and confidential place for youth ages 13-25 to develop their sexual and gender identities and empower them to realize their potential as valuable members of the community. We offer support groups and social activities, as well as free counseling for those 16-25. Amenities in the Youth Space include free snacks, video games, internet access, and art supplies. • The Lighthouse Youth Program is run out of the Lighthouse Community Center, a LGBT Center located in downtown Hayward. NATIONAL • BOMinc provides teens with tools that help them be the "boss" of themselves and empower them to manage their own relationship drama. • Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals is an online resource for LGBT-related financial aid and student support within higher education settings. • FIERCE! is a transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual, Two Spirit, queer, and questioning youth of color organizing project in New York City, dedicating to challenging gentrification and police violence. • HIV Youth Project aims to create, connect and foster a sense of community for HIV-positive youth, by youth. • LGBT Financial Aid is a resource for LGBT-specific financial aid sources. • University of California LGBT Association is a hub for LGBT resources and organizations within the University of California system.
