New Board Member

Angelique Huerta
Angelique Huerta is a Two-Spirit Mexica and Filipinx queer, born and raised in San Francisco. She brings 15 years of experience supporting and building the leadership of low to no income survivors of violence, through direct service and organizing.

She Graduated from UC Davis with a BA in Communications and Chicano/a Studies. After graduating from UC Davis, Angelique went on to do union and community organizing with Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

She later worked as a Bilingual Case Manager at Compass Family Services and a Spanish speaking Legal Advocate at Next Door Solutions To Domestic Violence.

She now works for The City and County of San Francisco as a Social Worker in the Department of Aging and Adult Services. Angelique also runs 2-Spirit Danza Azteca practices and holds space for sweat lodge and full moon ceremony.

Angelique joined our Board to give back to her community and serve as an example to her children. She joins the CUAV family with passion, a big heart and fiery spirit. We are thrilled to have her!
